Classic Game Map in Google?

Now Google is literally playing around (in a good way)! I never thought I’ll see the real world map the way I see it in classic role playing games. I guess this is something cool from ancient gaming elements, and they did a very good job. Now let’s just wait for 2D airships, dragons and chocobos to move around this fantastic Google map game and throw in the real fun…
For you to appreciate it better, here are some maps from several RPGs that you can keep in mind while playing with the 8-bit Google map:


This masterpiece is a collaboration with Square Enix and Nintendo, which was released for April Fools day. You can even see the Square Enix markĀ in the lower right corner of the map. I don’t know how long will this map be available, but you can experience it now on this link: Google Game Map.
