Fate Stay Night, if not the best, is one of the most unforgettable short series anime in my opinion. The ability of the characters to summon a servant, which is an incarnation of any heroic spirits from the past or future is really cool. I was easily got hooked on this series and finished it in 2-seating. Fate Stay Night has a very stylish art, minimal yet exciting fight scenes, and a great story line. I can’t tell you why to avoid spoiling the anime series, but any anime enthusiasts should at least enjoy the Fate Stay Night series.

Since the anime was really good, a 2nd season was released late this year, 2011, which is entitled Fate Zero or Fate/Zero. The series is actually a prequel which took place 10 years prior to the events on the Fate Stay Night series. I can’t tell much about Fate Zero yet since there are only a few episodes released while I’m writing this review, but each episode I watched gets me excited for the next one.

Watch Fate Stay Night and you won’t be disappointed.

A psp game was also released this year entitled Fate Extra PSP. The good thing is, it was also released in the US, so we can play this in English. The story is a bit different though since it took place in a modern environment wherein the characters are actually computer hackers. I don’t know if this was aligned with the visual novel but I like the Fate Stay Night anime series‘ feel a lot better since it felt more heroic.

If your like me though, who would take the chance to participate on the story’s conflict, Fate Extra is a great game for you. You’ll even see familiar faces from the Fate Zero and Fate Stay Night series which will remind you of the chills you had when watching the anime.
